The KPSHA is gearing up for an unforgettable Labor Day Picnic, promising a day brimming with fun and flavor. As families gather in the sun-drenched park, children’s faces light up with anticipation as they queue up for whimsical face-painting designs, balloon artistry, and a kickball tournament. Amidst laughter, music, and friendly competition, the KPSHA Labor Day picnic is poised to be a celebration of community spirit and summer’s end.
The lively tunes of the True Blue Bluegrass Band set the perfect backdrop for the day’s festivities, infusing the air with toe-tapping rhythms.
We’ve planned a family kickball tournament where neighbors cheer and year-long bragging rights go to the winning team. All ages are welcome on a team.
And to fuel the excitement, an array of food trucks will line the perimeter, offering everything from sizzling barbeque to artisanal treats.
Bring your favorite packable dessert to enter in the BEST NEIGHBORHOOD DESSERT CONTEST and to share with your neighbors. Again, the winner will have year-long bragging rights.
We plan to have a tent to protect against the heat and sun, but don’t forget your picnic blanket or chairs.
Open to all residents of Sequoyah Hills Neighborhood. As always, we would appreciate renewing your membership, becoming a new member, or giving a donation. Check-in will be at the Entrance Membership Desk at the Link-House Ballfield. Check/Cash only, no credit cards. Thank you to residents who have already paid membership dues for 2024.
Note the time change this year: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We’re hoping to avoid the direct summer heat and sun.
