Kingston Pike Sequoyah Hills Association is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the residential qualities of our neighborhood.

KPSHA’s Mission Statement

Neighborly Communication

We publish a quarterly newsletter which is mailed to all 1850 addresses in the Sequoyah Hills neighborhood regardless of the current membership status of each household. Additionally, we monitor the KPSHA Facebook Page.

Promote Beautification

KPSHA engages the services of a professional landscaper and maintains five intersectional flower beds with seasonal plantings. In addition, we furnish the holiday decorations on the Cherokee Blvd. light posts. We also sponsor the Holiday Christmas Tree Lighting.

Community Pride

We spearhead activities to support the Knoxville Marathon as the runners traverse our neighborhood. We throw a Labor Day Picnic to encourage our membership to get to know one another. And, we spearhead seasonal activities to encourage a community.

Advocate to Government Officials

We work closely with City Council and County Commission elected officials to stay current on pending legislation that directly affects our neighborhood.

MPC Zoning

We stay abreast of zoning and demolition applications and work to protect the integrity of our neighborhood. Recently, we worked diligently to protect the residential status of our neighborhood in the RECODE Knoxville project.

Law Enforcement

We monitor and work with law enforcement on the reported infractions in our neighborhood. We advocate safe practices based on law enforcement recommendations.

About US

The Kingston Pike-Sequoyah Hills Association is a non-profit, volunteer organization that exists to maintain and improve the residential qualities of the community. KPSHA encourages neighborly communication, promotes beautification and community pride, cooperates with local and state government and other associations with similar aims and purposes, and maintains the integrity of zoning and deed restrictions … to name a few of the many facets of the neighborhood association.

We maintain good relationships with law enforcement agencies to help ensure the security and safety of residents. We research, record, and promote interest in the community's history, and we work to continue developing and maintaining public parks.

The Sequoyah Hills Preservation Society was founded in 1997 to preserve and improve the common areas of Sequoyah Hills for the enjoyment of its residents and our community. On July 1, 2015, the Society merged with the Kingston Pike-Sequoyah Hills Association. It is now the Beautification and Preservation Committee, with the same responsibilities as the former Society.

The KP-SHA Board meets on the first Monday of each month. The meetings are open to the public. If you would like to attend a board meeting, contact the president to confirm the location and time. The board hosts the Annual Meeting each spring in April.
