Volunteer For A KPSHA Event
Want to get more involved in our neighborhood without the monthly commitment of a board position? We’d love your help. Our community thrives because of neighbors who volunteer their time, ideas, and energy to make it a more beautiful, connected, and vibrant place to live. We’re forming committees to support areas like beautification, community development, social events, membership outreach, and special projects… there’s a place for everyone, whether you have a little time or a lot of time to share. If you’re interested, take a quick survey below to et us know what excites you most. It’s a simple way to make a meaningful impact and connect with your neighbors along the way.
Take our survey and we will be in touch.
KNOXVILLE MARATHON
APRIL 12, 2026, morning
We are looking for neighbors who want to help decorate the neighborhood on Saturday, April 11th, including assisting with placing pre-made signs along a small section of the Sequoyah portion of the route. Signs will be set up on Saturday and collected after the marathon on Sunday, April 12th.
Every year, Sequoyah Hills has won the award for “Most Welcoming Neighborhood,”….a cash prize that helps replenish our decorating supplies.
Event coordinator for KPSHA will be Lindsay Conrad. Send an email to Lindsay if you can help decorate the day before? Or help on the day of the Marathon?

Plans are underway to liven up the Annual Meeting, make it more family-friendly, and increase attendance. Mark your calendar for April 30, early evening, at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church. We plan to unveil plans for a new capital campaign for the neighborhood, have stations to learn about new happenings you may be interested in, and tables to meet your local government representatives. KPSHA needs volunteers to help set up and host the event.

PLEIN AIR in Partnership with The Tremont Institute
SEPTEMBER 26, 2026, morning
The KPSHA partnership with the Annual Plein Air Painting Event, Exhibition, and Sale will occur on September 26, 2026, at Sequoyah Park near the bathrooms. For a week, national PLEIN AIR painters will be painting in the Smoky Mountains in and around the Townsend area. On Saturday morning, those painters and anyone else who wants to participate will have a 3-4 hour window to paint an interpretation of our scenic neighborhood. Later that morning, the works of art will be displayed at Sequoyah Park near the bathrooms; they will be judged, prizes distributed, and available for sale. Proceeds benefit the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont. KPSHA is looking for a few extra hands to volunteer at this event.
Event coordinator for KPSHA will be Mitch Eisenberg. Send an email to Mitch if you can volunteer.
