What Does Your KPSHA Do?

  • We send timely email blast to all on the “SIGN-UP” email list. We send event reminder cards to the 1850 addresses in the Sequoyah Hills neighborhood regardless of the current membership status of each household. Additionally, we monitor the KPSHA Facebook Page.

  • KPSHA engages the services of a professional landscaper and maintains nine intersectional flower beds with seasonal plantings. In addition, we furnish the holiday decorations on the Cherokee Blvd. light posts, decorate the neighborhood tree, and sponsor the Holiday Christmas Tree Lighting.

  • We spearhead activities to support the Knoxville Marathon as the runners traverse our neighborhood. We throw a Labor Day Picnic to encourage our membership to get to know one another. And, we spearhead seasonal activities to encourage a community.

  • We work closely with City Council and County Commission elected officials to stay current on pending legislation that directly affects our neighborhood.

  • We stay abreast of zoning and demolition applications and work to protect the integrity of our neighborhood. Recently, we worked diligently to limit signage, to limit nighttime lighting and to advocate for additional planting at our new neighborhood convenience store and gas station.

  • We monitor and work with law enforcement on the reported infractions in our neighborhood. We advocate safe practices based on law enforcement recommendations and communicate those recommendations to the residents in our neighborhood.
