The KPSHA Board of Directors Who Volunteered at The Labor Day Picnic
All KPSHA Board Meetings are open to the Public… to YOU!! The residents of Kington Pike-Sequoyah Hills Neighborhood.
Tonight is the 2025 September meeting, and our guest speaker is Indya Kincannon, your Mayor of the City of Knoxville. She asked to speak to the board regarding the November ballot referendum that ALL voters in the City election will have the opportunity to cast a vote FOR or AGAINST.
Those residents who voted in the recent City Council Primary noticed there was only one race in which to cast a vote.
Likewise, in the General Election, November 4, 2025, there will be the same District 2 candidates on your ballot PLUS a referendum question that will affect all shoppers in the City of Knoxville. The referendum requests approval of a 0.50% increase in the sales tax within the City of Knoxville.
Come to our board meeting tonight to hear Mayor Kincannon’s explanation of the history, impact, and allocation of these extra funds for the City of Knoxville. 6:30, Room 322, Spitzer Education Building, Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church.
We apologize for the short notice and are therefore allowing Mayor Kincannon to speak before we begin our regular meeting tonight. It is anticipated that the Mayor will speak for approximately 25 minutes and answer questions so you do not need to stay for all the board business. We will publish a RECAP (official board minutes) similar to the Annual Meeting Recap (from April) if you are unable to join the board of directors tonight.
A pillar of KPSHA’s Mission is to keep residents of our unique neighborhood informed of the issues that will affect our neighborhood and our City/County quality of life. We will be learning the implications of the proposal tonight, and we will discuss the issue either tonight or at the next board meeting. However, we believe you deserve to know the issues and the facts of the proposal, so we invite you to join the board of directors tonight with Mayor Indya Kincannon.
Mayor Kincannon was a celebrity judge for The Best Dessert Contest at KPSHA’s Labor Day Picnic, along with other public officials of our voting districts, Kat Bike & Andrew Roberto.
