SES Science Garden for New Growth on Learning

KPSHA made a substantial contribution to the Sequoyah Elementary School PTO to sponsor their new educational Science Garden to debut this school term. In this photo, parents and students are learning to assemble the containers. We will keep you updated on their “green thumbs” and science projects throughout the school year.

SES PLAYGROUND ACCESS UPDATE !!!

Your KPSHA enjoyed collaborating with the leadership at Sequoyah Elementary School at the end of school last spring to identify ways that we, as neighbors, can help to keep the playgrounds safe and clean for students. When the gates were reopened full-time during the summer months, KPSHA’s school liaison team worked with our fantastic families who utilize the playground to communicate any issues identified.

To treat our students to a playground in tiptop shape, KPSHA gathered volunteer neighbors for an END OF SUMMER CLEANUP of trash and tree limbs. A big THANKS to the following families for cleanup: The Conrads, the Rogozinskis, the Kerns, the Johnsons, the Hagens the Reids, the Havasys, the Connors, and the Reynolds for leading the cleanup teams. They have ensured the playground is clean and ready for the new school year. The leadership at SES has announced that its playground will be accessible to neighborhood families after 6:00 pm during the week. It will also be accessible to families on the weekends and during school/holiday breaks.

If you use the grounds during these hours, please keep an eye out for trash, large limbs, and other issues you may notice. Please note too that no dogs are permitted at any time. Help the neighborhood continue to enjoy the use of this playground by keeping it free of trash and dogs. Please pick up after yourself. Thank you.

Contact Lindsay Conrad to report any issues that should be addressed by the KPSHA or communicated to the school administration.
